The paradiddle is a super versatile rudiment and a great entry point into the world of rudimental drumming. As you improve, the patterns you create will become more complex. Learning how to break down rhythms into simple constructions of single and double strokes is a really important skill to develop that will allow drummers of all skill levels to analyze and learn, well, whatever you want!
We take the paradiddle pretty slow in this online drum lesson but please feel free to choose a tempo that’s most comfortable and fitting for your personal needs.
